Another fix for a Shadowrun addict

I love anthologies and collections and whatever else you call a bunch of short pieces by various authors. I love Shadowrun. So, right there, World of Shadows has me hooked. I won't say all the stories are winners, but, just about all of them are readable and have plenty of Sixth World flavor. Most of them require no previous knowledge of the Shadowrun world, just a willingness to get some magic in your cyberpunk and visa versa. I will mention that I was very excited to have a new story by Michael Stackpole, especially since it featured Wolfgang Kies, my favorite Shadowrun character. Patrick Goodman, Russell Zimmerman and Mel Odom have written Shadowrun novels I have also enjoyed. They have stories in here that should entertain other readers as much as they entertained me.

This is an amazing collection of Shadowrun short stories. Each author's story draws on a different aspects of the 6th world. Magic, Noir, Intrigue, Brawls, and the Matrix.
It's a great introduction to a plethora of Shadowrun/Cyberpunk authors.

Not a Rigorous Treatment

I may have been able to tell this from the various descriptions or from the table of contents, but this book has very little mathematical detail. Now, with that said, the coverage of the subject is excellent, especially in examination of noise sources and how this limits results, but again at a very non-mathematical level. This book is not for a physicist, electrical engineer or anyone looking to apply these techniques in their field.

I purchased this book for a class I was taking and found it to be an easy read with lots of interesting information about our environmental policy and how it was formed. I would have read it even if it wasn't for class. I would recommend this for anyone who was interested in learning more about U.S. environmental policy.

Amazon is the best

When I placed my order for this class, Environmental Policies, I inadvertently ordered the book for my next class, Twentieth-Century Europe, instead and did not realize it until the Thursday before my class started, which started on that Tuesday, I called the customer service line and spoke with a representative and I received my book on that Wednesday, a day after class started. Again Amazon is the best place to order your books.
The book Environmental Policy Paradox is a book with great references and gives great insight into what is going on with in our environment and the policies behind them. This is a very interesting book, it helps to understand the paradoxes that are involved in policy making and what is behind the decisions that are made regarding our environment.
