Anna Mandoki was born in the United Kingdom and now lives in Melbourne, Australia. In the early 1990s she worked as an accountant in Budapest, Hungary. Anna's short works of fiction and non-fiction have appeared in various newspapers, journals and anthologies, and have been broadcast on ABC Radio National. Molotov Cocktails, first published in 2006, is her first book.

I enjoyed this book because it brought back memories even if not good ones. I was twelve years old during the uprising. We were in school when it all started. Lived in Budapest. It was very frightening to see the Russian tanks rolling down our street.
